No kids of my own but they do grow up quickly don't they?

Have a great weekend Lance.

They do grow up fast. My 15 year old is going in a horsy poker ride this weekend. She's a great rider. Got a little to learn about saddle synching. :o

All these horses! And all these houses! The size of our houses makes me laugh (if I didn't laugh, I'd cry) compared to the average North American house size. This is how it'd be for most...

Couldn't find an image showing American vs UK house size but this illustrates my point pretty well...

Pathetic little shoe boxes. You all with your massive basements and attics! I know it in't "all" but still. I know, jealousy gets me nowhere... but still! [headinwall]

Sorry Nick. She is spending a day or 2 in London. I should have contacted you. Maybe she could have freeloaded. 2 weeks France with the choir, 3 weeks in Scotland for http://www.aiyf.org/. She's a fiddle player and has a bunch of friends there. I'll contact you when I'm coming over though. How's the spare bed?

Hope she enjoys her stay over here Danny.
The Aberdeen festival is a great event and very popular.

Awesome stuff! That AIYF looks great! Looks like she'll have a ball. :D (Can't wait till I get round to making a fiddle... I'll actually get to learn an new instrument on one I made myself! Not had that experience before!)

Tell her that an all-day travel card on the Underground is £8.90 and, starting real early, you can have an awesome day in London! On Tuesday I took my mum into town to the British museum (that great place where we show off all the things we nicked from other countries during the days of Empire - return the Elgin Marbles!) which I've been to a dozen times and still haven't seen all of... Then sandwiches in Soho Square... And then to Covent Garden for a pint (and ice water for m'mum) at Punch & Judy's, overlooking the piazza and watching the street entertainer... Lovely day! Just tell her to prepare to get lost! The streets of London make no sense whatsoever!

And, you're welcome here! Though the spare bed is in the workshop! At least you'll feel at home in there! I'm 30 minutes from Baker Street and have never made the most of it... I'm planning on making up for lost time and making use of that fact from now on! Crazy not to!

A friend of ours is a conductor and got us some tickets to see him and his Mozart orchestra play in the Konzerthaus in Vienna. Luckily we had a babysitter and a dog sitter. Today we spent the day at his house hearing professional music being played on the piano. Of course I naturally went to the 80yr old cello and zither.

Scraped the binding on the latest GC-6 in white oak/red spruce.
Have a couple coats of lacquer on it and it's "in finishing".

So, it's a couple of coats a day for a while on this one...
